This former National Party candidate for the seat of Ipswich West spent 27 years in local government representing the people of Rosewood and surrounding rural areas.
Despite his prevarication in the August edition of Moreton Border News, the former Ipswich City and Moreton Shire Councillor is reportedly champing at the bit to be part of the action when democracy returns to Ipswich City Council.
He is no doubt already at the starting line limbering up and is likely to be the first to nominate for the new Division 4 next February.
No doubt "Bulky Pahlke" - as dubbed by his arch-rival Paul Tully for over two decades - has a few scores to settle come March 2020.
